Who Is Beyond Theory?

After 24 years in a large New Zealand owned Transport and Logistics company, I decided it was time to explore new ventures. During those 24 years, I was lucky enough to hold various roles from Marketing Manager to Operation Manager and finally CEO of the company.

Being part of a management buy-out shareholder group, leading a team of Senior Managers and leading several successful mergers and acquisitions allowed me to face many challenges and overcome obstacles along the way.

The greatest gifts from these challenges will always be the knowledge, expertise and strategies that you just cannot learn from a book – hence the name, Beyond Theory.  People are your greatest assets, but they have to be the right ones. Building a talent pool of key people, implementing innovative systems and processes meant we achieved sustainable success.   

One of my strongest attributes is building great relationships, both internally and externally. My leadership style could be described as visionary, but I’m a realist who once I set my mind to something, I make sure it’s done.  That’s not to say I’m not flexible; but I’m incredibly pragmatic.  I know the ins and outs of transport, logistics, the supply chain and manufacturing and I truly believe by using my strengths your business will achieve exactly what you want it to.
